  • Aorus X5 V7 Keyboard not working + WHERE ARE DRIVERS

    Hello, I just got my X5 V7 about two weeks ago. I love it... Loved it, until it started shitting the bed. First, the keyboard backlighting stopped working. I tried going into Fusion, and it wouldn't do anything like it was frozen. I updated the Fusion software, still nothing. Then, the keyboard started typing the wrong letters, and just didn't work at all. It would type an "r" if I typed "e" and so on and so forth. I tried everything from uninstalling and reinstalling drivers, system restore, even a FACTORY RESET and still nothing. I'm really not happy with it because not only did I lose all of my Aorus software (in which I cannot for the life of me find online so I'm screwed), but the damned keyboard still doesn't work. The customer service doesn't answer calls on weekends and Microsoft told me to get back to them after I called Aorus. I bought it through XOTIC so I might just ask for a new one. I'm really pissed. I spent way too much money for this to not work.

    Trubino10 Did it not come with a USB drive with the drivers? I've seen some people say they did get one and some people say they didn't.

    I've seen a few people with the same issue on the V7s. I believe the V6 models had keyboard issues as well.

    Unfortunately, Haven't seen anything about a fix though other than return it for another laptop or send it in to get fixed.

    Good luck! Hopefully Xotic support is better than the Aorus support on this forum.

      Trubino10 Are you using 1.1.9 keyboard firmare. It IS false firmare....Your keyborad may be not working... Try to update to 1.17 firmare. maybe useful...

        Trubino10 You can find the downloads for the X5 V7 on its model page on the main Aorus website. Products -> Laptops -> X5 V7 and then click the "Download" tab in the middle of the page. This goes for all models of Laptops.

          The product download pages have been updated. Only SOME of the drivers are downloadable now. Fusion is gone? BIOS is gone? Keyboard firmware is gone?

          Online support at AORUS is lousy compared to other brands!
